To begin, most AMC theatres offer military pricing after four in the afternoon, so long as valid military identification is presented. Additionally, Amtrak, a leading provider of train service, offers a ten percent discount on the lower fare for military personnel and their spouses and dependants. Many other such offers are available at numerous locations, and all that is required is for someone to ask about the provided services.

Automotive Industries

Chrysler, which includes Dodge, Ram, and Jeep products has a Military Bonus Cash program that offers personnel who had experienced active duty, reserve, and retirement with an honorable discharge and upwards of twenty years of service, a five hundred dollar cash allowance that can be applied to the next purchase of the appropriate vehicle. For veterans who have been honorably discharged, they are eligible to receive this bonus within six months since receiving the discharge. Dollar car rentals services provide discounted rates for armed forces personnel who are traveling for military business or simply for leisure.  Many companies offer military travelers additional perks as well, such unlimited mileage, and no charge for additional drivers.

Ford has a military appreciation program as well, offering a similar five hundred dollars bonus cash advancement towards the lease or purchase of the next Ford model. Another car company, General Motors, which includes their Chevrolet, GMC, and Buick models, features an attractive discount package that applies to people who are currently serving active duty, are in the reserves, are retirees or veterans, and their spouses. The discount package includes preferred pricing, transferable powertrain warranties, reliable roadside assistance, and an Onstar program for up to six months, with additional paid incentives available. Geico insurance can help finance up to a fifteen percent discount for insurance premiums for people on active duty as well as retired personnel. Additionally, National Reserve and Guardsmen members are also eligible for these discounts.

Holiday and Retail Locations

Numerous holiday vacation specials are available for Armed Forces Personnel, especially ones that are dedicated around exclusive clubs that provide unique vacation destination for all those who apply. The Armed Forces Vacation Club is one such program, which provides both retired and active personnel with affordable weekly vacation accommodations in over four thousand locations. Choice Hotels offer a special armed services program that allows an up to ten percent discount on eligible stays. Military leisure travelers who book with the Red Roof Inn will receive a fifteen percent discount at all nationwide locations.

A wide variety of commercial and retail service providers also have discount programs available to active and retired members of armed services. The Home Depot, for instance, provides a ten percent discount to all relevant personnel, including retired and disabled veterans as well as their dependent children and spouses. All active or retired military personnel can also receive a mail in rebate of upwards of one hundred dollars on all Smith and Wesson revolvers, pistols, and rifles. Lowes locations also offer a ten percent discount that is active every day for active duty recruits, including their dependent children and spouses.
