Quality over Quantity: Five Items You Should Always Pay for Quality

| September 9, 2013

quality over quantity

In times of economic turmoil, it is easy to think that paying less for something is the best way to go. That isn’t always the case since quality often comes at a price. Even in the rough times, there are items that should be bought at a premium. Quality products last longer and will cost less in the long run.

Beds and bedding

With more than fifty percent of a life in bed, paying cheap prices for a bed and bedding shouldn’t be an option. Many people don’t get a good night sleep. This is often a twofold issue: One is the bed being slept on and the other is the sheets and covers used. A quality bed and bedding helps everyone sleep better. Paying more money for a good night’s sleep is a must.

Razors and shaving tools

Taking the hair off the body isn’t an option. At some point in life, every person has to shave. Buying the 99-cent set of razors, a two-dollar bottle of shaving cream should never be considered. Shaving is a part of life and paying more for quality tools will help keep legs, face, and body smooth. Consider the shaving cream, razor, badger brush and other accessories to be an investment.

Desk Chair

With so many jobs requiring desk work, the chair is often seen as an afterthought. Yet, ask anyone who has sat in a low-quality chair for hours on end. A high-quality chair can mean the difference between being comfortable all day or having to suffer through a sore body and back.

Professional Services

When the need arises for an accountant or an artist, the first choice of many is to go for the cheapest. Unfortunately, the cheapest is usually cheap because the person involved can’t drum up enough business with the higher price. This usually means that the people in question does’t have the right skills to keep customers coming back. Paying more for professional services shouldn’t be looked at as a bad thing, but something that should be embraced.

Home Improvements

The house is a man or a woman’s castle. So why do so many people find the lowest bidder when making improvements? In the case of construction and improvement, a higher price often determines quality. There is a trust that has to be between the person that owns the house and the crew that comes in to the abode. Should a homeowner put complete trust in a budget construction crew? To answer that, just ask how much can a budget crew be trusted.
