Don’t Let Them Go To Waste: Customized Items That Are Truly Useful

| June 27, 2013

pensDon’t you just love conference and event freebies? It might be exciting at first but it gets a bit annoying when you receive things that you cannot actually use, doesn’t it? Don’t make the same mistake of irritating your colleagues on your next corporate event. Opt to customize. Customizing saves you time from canvassing the ideal giveaway or gift because you know you’ll be getting exactly what you have in mind. Also, it saves you a lot of money especially when it is purchased in bulk. Savings after all means buying something useful and appreciated. Whether it’s for the office or for someone really special, make sure the items you give don’t just go directly to the rubbish bin. Here are some ideas

Mug. This is tricky because customized mugs can appear tacky at times. But when done in good taste and in the appropriate occasion, it has the potential to be one of those things that you know you can use but are just hesitant to do so because of the fear or wearing it out. If you need to customize mugs for corporate or community event souvenirs, make sure to keep the print simple and smart, you want the attendees to keep it, right? Also, you can try customizing mugs for more intimate reasons. A witty text or image on the mug for a birthday girl or for your hardworking hubby could make your present a favorite during coffee breaks.

Stationery. Sounds very old-fashioned but some people do actually want their own personalized stationery. It actually tells others how keen you are in paying attention to everything, even to small details. Create your own trademark when leaving notes in the kitchen or when returning a colleague’s book through a classy stationery. What’s perfect about it is that you can be free to create your own style, from the design to the size of your very own sheets.

Business Card Holder. Another item that can create corporate magic is a business card holder. Just like pens, it’s something that individuals use each time they do a transaction or even just a simple meetup. Placing your logo and other important details in the holder will draw attention and eventually create interest about your business. Card holders don’t only get personalized for corporate reasons. You can actually have one for your own personal use if you want yours to defy the usual stern appearance.

Pen. Pens are probably one of the earlier office items that were being customized. And true enough, this practice has stayed effective to this day because we still see them in a lot of companies and establishments. Promotional pens are subtle yet notable branding strategy that aims to create name recall and familiarity. Customizing pens will prove useful for almost any type of business. But don’t be afraid to have one with your name on it too. Personalizing small objects can speak of your professionalism and strong personality.

Pillow. A more personal  object that can be customized is a pillow. Pillows with customized print could be a great item to give away in the office to promote comfort while sitting and working long hours in front of the computer. Likewise, it can be a very nice gift you can give to your special someone to remind him/her of you during bedtime. Be fun and humorous! How you want to customize it is really up to you.
