Since asthma can be a serious health problem, there are ways to create an asthma safe home.

There are many air pollutants inside our homes that can be dangerous to us. We don’t have to go outside to breathe harmful particles that happens all the time right inside of our own homes. These harmful pollutants can be very dangerous, even fatal in some instances. The most common kinds of air pollutants are dust and mold. These air pollutants float in the air inside of our houses, which is dangerous to our health.

Although small amounts of these particles are not that dangerous, they often accumulate over time and cause harm to our health. Dust and mold often cause allergies, asthma, viral infections, itchy skin, fatigue, and other health concerns. All of these things can be solved with simple solutions to help guard the indoor air quality of your house. Most of the solutions can be done spending a very small amount of money as well.

Be sure to replace your furnace filters on a regular basis to make sure the air in the house that you breathe is fresh, pure and clean.

Clean air ducts

Clean the air ducts on a regular basis to remove dust, mold and other harmful particles floating in the air and building up. This is very important. Ducts usually hold a great deal of mold and dust without us even realizing it. It’s best to have your air ducts cleaned at least twice a year. If someone in your house suffers from asthma, you know how dangerous the situation can become. Therefore, it would be best to clean the ducts about four times a year to clean the air. You can clean the air ducts out yourself with a vacuum cleaner or hire a professional to clean the ducts.
